Diabetes Management Tip #2:

Exercise can help regulate blood sugar and increase the body's sensitivity to insulin. How does your body do this?

When you exercise, your heart beats a little faster and you breathe a little harder. Your muscles use more glucose or sugar in your bloodstream. Over time, this can lower your blood sugar levels. It also makes the insulin in your body work better.

Watch this video about the importance of exercise for people with diabetes.
