Diabetes Day in Australia is a time when communities come together to spread awareness about diabetes. At Glucology, our aim is to create a community to help each other. For people living with diabetes, community is extremely important to feel heard, supported and know there are others sharing your experiences and you are not alone.
At the moment things are hard for people living with diabetes, as well as for friends and family members. It can be easy to feel helpless and vulnerable in difficult times, between bad news and constant blood sugar monitoring. This November we want to focus on embracing feelings of hope and empowerment in the diabetes community. Being united in hope and towards a common purpose - spreading awareness and support for diabetes.
Sharing your experiences is important to show others that they are not alone. Join our Glucology Support Port on Facebook, a place to share, ask questions or observe others who are in a similar situation to your own. Our Support Port is a platform to tell your story, give advice to others or simply read others’ experiences to feel connected to the community. There is no better time than Diabetes Awareness Month to reach out to the community and your representatives to make your voice heard.
