Diabetes green smoothie breakfast snack healthy kale

Smoothies are a great way to consume superfoods and healthy fats. This smoothie is packed with kale. Kale is an excellent source of vitamin C and K. Smoothies are great for breakfast, a tasty snack or even dessert.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup kale leaves
  • ½ avocado
  • 1 celery stick
  • 1/3 cup cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 250mL unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice

Method:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender
  2. Pulse until combined and smooth
  3. Serve immediately
