Type 2 diabetes has traditionally been linked to lifestyle and genetic factors, yet new research out of Washington University has revealed that there is some correlation between pollution and Type 2 diabetes. Based on the analysis, it is estimated that air pollution contributed to around 3.2 million diabetes diagnoses globally.
